Getting to Guanaja
- Getting to a secluded place like Guanaja is easier then you would think. We can provide you all the instructions on booking your trip to and from the Island. You have the choice of either landing in Roatan or in San Pedro Sula. Then from these two places you will be taking a smaller plane over to the Island. If you are coming from a city that doesn't allow you to make it in one day to Guanaja, we can arrange for your stay at one of the places we recommend.
What to Pack
- We recommend you travel as light as you can. Our home is equipped with a laundry machine so bring a few change of clothes, but the lighter the better you will be during your travels.
- Bring Sunscreen
The Tropics
- When visiting Guanaja, you are going to come across bugs. Sand Fleas are one of the biggest problems people will encounter. This is not a problem if you are prepared. Casa Bella Vista has hardly any of these pesty fleas but you will come across them in your travels. A Sand Flea is so small you hardly will be able to see them. But a red spot will show up on your skin after you are bitten. They cause no harm but will annoy you if not prepared. We have seen many solutions to the problem, but the best would be a product with Deet.
